Frank completed his professional qualifications in 1980 and has since gained over four decades of experience in public practice. Frank created and led F T Dooley Limited from 1988 until recently passing the reigns to Gareth. Although Frank is planning to settle into retirement he remains involved with the firm in a consultant / contractor capacity.
Frank was honoured as a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand during 2012 in recognition of his exceptional services to the Community. A passionate advocate for community and development in the Buller, Frank has held a number of Trustee and Director positions in local organisations. Currently, Frank serves as Chairman of Buller Electricity Limited, a Director of Pulse Energy Limited where he chairs their finance and risk committee, and he also chairs the O’Conor Home Trust Management Committee. He supports numerous not for profit organisations through the firm and in his own time.
Frank works hard to get the best results for all business and community organisations, his overarching expectation for high quality results resounds throughout the firm at every level. His extensive governance experience and contacts throughout NZ provide a depth of knowledge unequalled meaning Frank is qualified to advise you on all aspects of business no matter how large or small.

Gareth has been a Director of F T Dooley Limited since 2001. Gareth and his wife Heidi purchased the firm from Frank Dooley in 2021.
With more than 25 years’ experience in providing accounting, audit and taxation advice to businesses, Gareth has a wealth of specialist knowledge and insight. From ensuring you start out in business fully informed of your regulatory requirements to safeguarding your interests when considering your exit from business. Gareth’s attention to detail can provide you peace of mind that your business affairs are under control.
Gareth holds Director and Trustee roles outside the firm along with volunteer community responsibilities. F T Dooley Limited has always been a generous contributor to the community and Gareth continues to enable and support this through the firm.
Gareth is happy to assist you in any way, and at times travels to Murchison to provide accounting services as an extension of the firm which is based in Westport.

Zach originally joined the firm in 2005 and is very experienced in all aspects of accounting. Zach qualified as a Chartered Accountant during 2020 and now takes the lead on our assurance engagements.
If you need guidance on whether an audit or review is required for your organisation and what records are necessary Zach is the person to contact.
Jo performs an executive assistant role and oversees the administration team at F T Dooley Ltd. You will see her smiling face at reception when you come in to visit us. Jo is the right person to talk to if you need to arrange a meeting with any of the team.
Rosalind joined the F T Dooley Ltd team in 1994, and leads our busy payroll team. Her focus is mainly high volume large industry payrolls, as she has a solid understanding of New Zealand employment legislation. Rosalind has a background in banking and secretarial roles which provides great value to those of our clients that require our full administrative services.
Margaret is our Dairybase expert. She is also able to assist you with a wide range of GST, taxation and end of year accounting queries or advice. Margaret’s knowledge and experience is irreplaceable, which is why she is also kept busy with the training of our new staff members.

Lisa started her accounting career in 1990 and has over thirty years of valuable experience. In recent years, Lisa has become our go-to-girl for clients looking for online accounting software solutions. Her practical accounting knowledge enables her to get clients setup with a system that works best for their business needs.
Anna has practical business experience after being self employed for a number of years before joining the firm. She is part of the payroll team and assists a number of our clients with wage calculations and compliance with employment laws.

Tori’s accounting skills stood out when she won the “F T Dooley Ltd” Accounting Award at Buller High School in 2013. She joined the firm soon after and, with the exception of some parental leave, has now been with us for over 8 years. Tori is a dedicated member of the accounting team and is continuing her professional studies towards becoming a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Bronwyn has over fifteen years practical accounting experience and holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Marketing and Management. Bronwyn can help you with a broad range of queries as her experience includes accounting for Trusts, Companies, Partnerships as well as Sole Traders and farm accounting.
Debbie is extremely proficient in many general accounting administration tasks such as debtor and creditor management, accounting software systems, reconciliations and GST returns. Since joining our team in 2016, Debbie has commenced processing payrolls and is proving a valuable asset to our payroll team.

Ashish joined the Firm in April 2018. He is a graduate from Canterbury University and continues to study towards becoming a Chartered Accountant while working at F T Dooley Ltd. Ash is a Xero certified advisor and able to assist you with getting the most out of your Xero software.
Jaz completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Taxation at the University of Canterbury. Since joining our team in 2018 Jaz has remained focused on gaining the practical experience required to complement her on going professional study towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.
Barbara joined F T Dooley Limited in 2019 and is in the office two days a week to assist our busy payroll team.
Jade came to us straight out of Buller High school and has commenced her tertiary study with Massey University via distance learning. Jade plans to complete her diploma while continuing to work and gain experience at F T Dooley Limited.
Tania has years of experience in accounting and administrative roles. Her flexibility is a great asset to us as even though Tania primarily completes GST returns, she is also able to lend a helping hand when it comes to secretarial and administrative tasks.
Heidi joined the administration team at F T Dooley Limited in 2021. Along with firm administration tasks, Heidi is your first contact to book an appointment.
Juliette has returned to our firm after almost 15 years. It is great to welcome her back to the accounting team. Her experience and prior client relationships have meant Juliette has been able to pick up where she left off.
